What happened
My Google Business Profile (Wireless Consultant) was suspended shortly after I asked a question on a Reddit community about GBP issues. It was reinstated, but after I posted an update, a user publicly stated they would “continue to report it for removal.” Shortly afterward, my profile was suspended again. I currently don’t have an “Appeal” option in the interface.
Important note: Google has not confirmed the specific reason for my suspension. Based on timing and a public comment (screenshot below), I suspect repeated third-party reports contributed. I’m sharing my evidence and process here so others can learn from it.
Evidence I’m providing
- Case IDs and support messages (on file).
- Screenshots of the suspension banner and missing appeal option.
- A public Reddit comment stating an intent to keep reporting my profile (see image/caption below).
What I tried (and what you can try)
- Quality check: Ensure NAP is consistent everywhere (site, headers/footers, schema, citations). Remove old addresses/phones from the web.
- Compliance sweep: Legal business name only (no descriptors/keywords in the name), correct categories, service areas, real-world photos, no virtual/ghost address, no UPS/Regus/PMB.
- Documentation pack:
- Government business registration (matching name/address).
- Utility bill/lease/tax letter (recent, matching NAP).
- Exterior & interior photos with signage; storefront hours photo; vehicle signage if SAB.
- Website page showing the same NAP.
- Contact Google support from Business Profile Manager: Use “Get help” → “Fix suspended profile.” If no reinstatement button appears, open a support case and attach the documentation pack.
- Reinstatement request form (if/when surfaced): Submit all docs in one go. Be concise, factual, and non-accusatory.
- Escalation: If the case stalls, reply to the same thread with new evidence (don’t open duplicates). You can also post in the official GBP Help Community (not just Reddit), linking your case ID and redacted proofs.
- After reinstatement: Lock your listing to verified managers only, keep categories clean, and avoid further public arguments that can attract brigading. Document everything.

Sudden suspensions are disruptive and confusing. This post is a timeline with receipts so other businesses can see what evidence to gather and how to structure a clear, policy-based appeal.
