My SEO Journey

During the Dotcom boom, I was captivated by the idea that anyone, anywhere, could establish an online presence and share their thoughts with the world. This notion of unrestricted global freedom of speech fascinated me deeply. It sparked my journey into the realm of SEO.

The Wireless Consultant Era

My journey in the cell phone industry commenced in Miami, Florida, with National Communications, affectionately known as NatCom. Through this partnership with a family friend, I embarked on a voyage into the realm of mobile communication technology. We swiftly became authorized agents of Bellsouth Mobility and Cellular One, the pioneering wireless providers in Miami. Subsequently, my tenure at Cellular Warehouse, a Bellsouth Mobility agent, saw me managing numerous locations. One particular favorite was situated in Dadeland Plaza, previously a Dick Anderson cellular location, complete with a clandestine passageway concealed behind a bookcase.

The acquisition of Cellular Warehouse by Let’s Talk marked a pivotal moment, prompting the realization that I was not merely a salesperson but a Wireless Consultant. As the demand for wireless connectivity surged, each carrier’s unique strengths and weaknesses became apparent to me. My profound understanding of the wireless landscape led me to secure the domain WirelessConsultant.net, solidifying my identity in the industry.

Social Media Presence as a Wireless Consultant

My ascent as a Wireless Consultant gained momentum when I became the primary contact for Miami-Dade employees seeking Bellsouth Mobility services. A strategic move involving the distribution of 20,000 flyers within Miami-Dade paycheck stubs further bolstered my visibility.

Recognizing the potential of social networks in expanding my reach, I established a Facebook business page and a LinkedIn profile under the moniker “Wireless Consultant,” aiming to extend my services to a broader audience.

The Birth of Mobile Wiseguy

Upon relocating to Tampa in 2000 and joining a business networking group, I received invaluable advice from fellow members urging me to transcend the generic label of “Wireless Consultant” and carve out a distinct identity. Thus, the persona of the “Mobile Wiseguy” was born, accompanied by a bespoke logo crafted by one of the group members.
